The safety of your children is of primary importance to all of us at Chapin Pres. To this end we have several measures in practice …
- Children’s Ministry Application: must be filled out by all volunteers in the Children’s Ministry.
This form secures pertinent information from the volunteer and requests references.
- SLED checks are performed on all regular adult volunteers.
At the present time we are researching even more inclusive background checks on the workers.
- All workers are asked to read and sign their agreement with our Child Protection Policy.
- All children, infant through Kindergarten, have dual name tags.
One tag is put on the child when they are brought into the class, and the other one is given to the parent.
The parent must present the name tag in order to pick up their child.
- All of the teachers and helpers wear picture name tags so you can be assured that they have been screened prior to going into the classroom.
- All parents/guardians are asked to fill out a Registration Form for their child birth through 5th grade.
Along with the normal information, you are also requested to tell of any allergies your child has and who is permitted to pick them up.
This is a duplicate form – one copy is kept in the classroom, and the other copy is kept by the Director of Childrens Ministries.
If you anticipate any problems regarding the security of your child, please let the worker or the Director of Childrens Ministries know.
